| |

How long will the entire process take?
| |
This depends on the size of your skydiving party. Seminole Skydiving accommodates skydiving groups faster and more efficiently than any other facility in this area. |
Is it safe?
| |
As with scuba diving, skiing, river rafting, rock climbing, etc., skydiving is an extreme sport that must be respected. However, with the modern equipment and training available, skydiving has become a sport anyone can try, and can be a safe and sane adventure. All of our equipment is the most advanced and the most reliable in the skydiving industry. One feature in all of our gear is an automatic activation device that will initiate deployment of your parachute in the event you or your instructor fail to do so. All of our instructors have undergone intense training and are highly qualified.
Has anyone ever died or been injured while skydiving at your facility?
| |
We have an excellent safety record. We make certain our instructors are fully-qualified and have fulfilled all criteria as dictated by the United States Parachute Association and the skydiving equipment manufacturers.
What if the parachute doesn't open?
| |
Although it is highly unlikely your parachute will malfunction, it can happen. In the unlikely
event this happens, our skydiving rigs have reserve parachutes, which are packed by
FAA Licensed Riggers. In the event of a main parachute malfunction on a Tandem Skydive, your
instructor will simply pull a handle that releases the faulty parachute and then he or she
will activate the reserve that will open in a matter of seconds.
What kind of parachute will I use?
| |
Our tandem parachutes are large, docile, square parachutes. These parachutes are specifically designed for maneuverability and soft landings.
How are the landings?
| |
The speed and rate of descent of the parachutes can be controlled. This allows a skydiver the capability to have soft stand up landings
How fast will we fall?
| |
120 miles per hour; about 1000 feet every 5 seconds
How long is the training?
| |
For a Tandem, the training will take about 15 minutes. The training is brief on Tandem jumps because the instructor will be with you through the entire process.
What are the physical requirements and age requirements?
| |
Minimum of 18 years old. No one is too old!!
Just about anyone can make a skydive. We have taken people with various disabilities. Our instructors are trained to handle these situations.
If you have any doubts as to whether or not you should make a skydive due to health concerns, please check with your doctor.
