About the 2008 Heritage Blues Festival

Nestled under the live oaks on the historic Henry family property on the north side of Tallahassee, the region’s finest blues men and blues women are gathering at the Bradfordville Blues Club for the HERITAGE BLUES FESTIVAL.

Festivities start at ?? Friday, February 29th with a throw-down in the jook joint by none other than

??????????????

...through Saturday, March 1st, with shows under the live oaks during the day and into the evening, finishing with a special engagement inside the BBC with

??????????????.

The bonfire under the live oaks has hosted musicians for decades and the Club served as an after hours gathering place for the famed Chitlin' Circuit's blues musicians. It is the perfect setting for the fourteenth in a series of blues festivals on the grounds, featuring many of the best blues acts in the region.

The Festival will provide you with an opportunity to be a part of this heritage and the celebration of the freedoms for which the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood. Whether outside by the bonfire or inside the jook joint, music and fun will go on ‘til morning...
