The 2007 Heritage Blues Festival

Nestled under the live oaks on the historic Henry family property at the edge of town, the region’s finest blues men and blues women are gathering for the HERITAGE BLUES FESTIVAL.

Festivities start 8:30PM Friday evening, January 12th with a throw-down in the jook joint by none other than

Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials

...through Saturday 13th, with shows under the live oaks during the day and into the evening, finishing with a special engagement inside the BBC with

Liz Mandeville-Greeson.

The bonfire under the live oaks has hosted musicians for decades and the Club served as an after hours gathering place for the famed Chitlin' Circuit's blues musicians. It is the perfect setting for the fourteenth in a series of blues festivals on the grounds, featuring many of the best blues acts in the region.

The Festival will provide you with an opportunity to be a part of this heritage and the celebration of the freedoms for which the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood. Whether outside by the bonfire or inside the jook joint, music and fun will go on ‘til morning...
