Back Yard Burgers opened their first restaurant in Cleveland, Mississippi on March 21, 1987,
and began franchising less than a year later, in February 1988, as a result of our own
success and also from a demand for Back Yard Burgers franchises by many who tried our
delicious product. Today, corporate headquarters are located in Memphis Tennessee, and 150
Back Yard Burgers restaurants operate in 18 states.
