Historic Rehab Projects - Ringling Museum of Art
Projects at the Ringling Museum included structural repairs, reroofing, waterproofing, security upgrades and major
renovations and additions. Coordination with museum staff was a weekly event as priceless art pieces had to be
moved and protected. Security system work included furnishing and installing a new state of the art intrusion
detection, access control, and CCTV system in a total of five buildings on the Ringling Campus including Ca'd'zan,
Circus Museum, Cottage, Main Museum and Maintenance Shop. The Loggia project consisted of replacing approximately
20,000 square feet of marble to match existing historic conditions including waterproof membrane and drainage mat
with new drain lines run to existing storm collection box. Work could not impact Ringling Art Museum visitor
attendance of 1,000-1,500 guests on most days. Attention to detail and protection of the historical artwork was
the main concern of the project.
