K-12 Projects - Classrooms for Kids This project included five different schools in the Tampa area. All classrooms were based on a prototype layout. The buildings were one story concrete masonry units that were load bearing with cement plaster exterior wall finish. All buildings have a flat built-up roof deck with the exception to Lake Magdalene Elementary which had a metal standing seam hip roof to match the existing campus vernacular. All classroom additions were designed to the present "Enhanced Hurricane Protected Area" requirements. Click on the images below for a larger view.
