Dear Allstate Construction

Yesterday was CONSTRUCTION DAY at Merrill Road Elementary School. Allstate, as CM on the project, sponsored the day and brought yellow hard hats for all the kids. They had Chik-fil-a cater lunch with chicken nuggets and all the goodies. A coloring contest was held for each grade, Pre-K, K, 1st and 2nd. Toys-R-Us gift cards were given for 1st place thru 3rd place. The day was a big success and the kids had a great time at lunch and showing off their hard hats. It was amazing to see the excitement in their eyes and to hear thank you as they passed through the line. One class made a special poster for Allstate and it said, Thank You for Helping Build Our Future, and it had all their names and hand prints. You will see it in the attached pictures and much more. Check out the Temporary Serving Line we set-up so we could remodel the kitchen. See the cafeteria filled with yellow hard hats!

A huge Thank You to our Business Partner, Allstate, for making the day a big success! Allstate is working hard and pushing the trades to complete this project on time. They put $750k in material and labor into the project during the month of March and they are expeditiously moving to finish the roof and complete dry-in so we can begin finishes. If you can find the time, stop by the job for a quick tour and dont forget to check out the remodel in the kitchen and Administration.

Dear Allstate Construction

Like most other organizations, we are constantly faced with construction deadlines, and it is my opinion that this is where Allstate Construction really shines. When it is time to step-up-to-the-plate, they have always performed very well, and they do an excellent job in conveying a sense of urgency to their staff and subcontractors when it becomes necessary. Also during the past year, they have successfully completed several historic structural repairs, re-roofing projects, very high tech fire and security systems that were certified by the Smithsonian Institute, and many other historic restoration and renovation projects. The Allstate Construction Team clearly understands the importance of our goals, and strives to ensure that we accomplish the mission.

Dear Mr. Roberts

It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Allstate Construction for your consideration regarding your upcoming new library project. Having worked closely with Allstate for the past several months, I can attest to their professionalism and to the quality of their work.

As Chair of the Library Advisory Board, my committee was tasked with screening construction firms for our new library project that is now underway. We were fortunate to have 4 outstanding firms in contention in our construction management approach, but the committee agreed that Allstate was the company of choice. Joe Nealon has been nothing short of sensational as Project Manager, and we could not have asked for a more accommodating approach. Bill Weldon has impressed us a most honest and forthright individual who always places the customer first. Having Allstate as our construction firm has proven to be a tremendous plus for our project.

In summary, I would hope that you would give Allstate Construction your utmost consideration as the firm of choice for your new library.

To whom it may concern -

Three construction companies made presentations to the Bradford County Library Advisory Board in May, 2005. We were happy with all three companies and felt that any of them would do nicely. One dropped out because of scheduling conflicts, so we interviewed the other two, one of which was Allstate Construction. Both met all of our requirements, but we needed some other way to distinguish between them. It finally came down, as we went around and around the table, talking it out, that Allstate was the most favored.

And, after a year and three months of problems having nothing to do with Allstate, we know we made the right choice. Allstate has stood by us through all of our problems and never lost sight of the goal, our new library.

Construction started just three weeks ago. During all the time in between, it became more and more apparent every day that we had made the right decision and sometimes we still congratulate ourselves on the result of our decision-making!

We also think the construction manager at risk was the best choice, and even just today, after talking with Joe Nealon, our project manager, I see how this approach is to our benefit. As the project continues, I expect to see more and more how advantageous it is.

Joe Nealon is very easy to work with and easy to talk to.

I recommend Allstate Construction without hesitation.

Dear Mr. Weldon:

It is a pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of you and your outstanding team at Allstate Construction. The Florida Governors Mansion Foundation was very fortunate to have selected your company to complete the signature project of the year: the creation of our new Governors Mansion Florida Library.

As you may realize, each first family leaves a special project behind as they complete their tenure at the Mansion. The First Lady and I were honored with this gift by the Foundation to acknowledge our efforts to improve reading, education and the arts for Floridas families. You and your colleagues did an outstanding job meeting all deadlines and budgets, anticipating challenges, and showing an amazing degree of professionalism, flexibility and commitment at all times. In addition, we wish to commend Mr. Walter Vidak, Senior Project Manager, Mr. Marlin Keller, Library Project Manager and Mr. Durrant Whiddon, Library Superintendent, for their outstanding efforts. Together, you and Allstate Construction have created something monumental here at the Governors Mansion which will serve future first families for many generations to come.

Thank you so very much.
